Sterling Pharma - Process Pipework

Upgrading a steam supply and condensate system to meet the operational demands of a pharmaceutical manufacturer

Project Background

Sterling Pharma Solutions is a contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) based in Cramlington. One of its existing steam supply and condensate systems was outdated and struggled to meet current operational demands. They engaged our services to deliver a reliable and efficient upgrade.

Solution

We designed and installed a new system focusing on functionality and simplicity. The project involved close collaboration with Sterling's site engineer, resulting in a cost-effective and operationally efficient solution.

The design prioritised the following:

  • Ease of operation and maintenance to simplify future tasks
  • Maximising available space within the warehouse
  • Providing a comprehensive set of as-built drawings for reference

We fabricated, constructed and commissioned the new steam supply and condensate system. This required additional modifications to the existing site-wide steam system to ensure seamless integration and allow for future expansion.

Outcomes

The project resulted in a modern and efficient steam supply and condensate system. It boasts a design that simplifies future maintenance and operation and allows for seamless expansion when needed.
