Jake Carr has joined Northern Engineering Solutions as Project Engineering Manager with an impressive track record built over nine years in engineering and project management roles that covered automotive, rail, battery technology, and manufacturing sectors. He comes following a four-year stint at Alexander Battery Technologies in Peterlee, where he operated as an Engineering Manager and was part of the senior leadership team. While at the battery manufacturer, Jake managed multi-million-pound capital expenditure projects from conception to completion and oversaw multidisciplinary teams.
Previous roles at Nissan Motor Manufacturing and Hitachi Rail also mean he has hands-on experience in electro-mechanical installations. Jake is certified in Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing and applies key methodologies such as 8D and 5 Whys for everyday problem-solving.
In his new position at Northern Engineering Solutions, he will lead the Engineering Design Department, delivering bespoke mechanical, electrical, and process (MEP) engineering solutions for clients including GSK, Pragmatic, and CPI.
